School transportation planners must join 21st century

Your editorial, "Packing them in: School officials should think long and hard about reorganizing the bus fleet" (Sept. 15) makes a great point, "getting students to and from our schools safely should be priority one, two and three." That's exactly why it continues to be important for parents and community members to push for improvements to the school transportation system that could not only improve service, but also save money.
